Fun Traveling to My Village

I woke up early in the morning, getting ready and packing my things. I was really excited because my family and I were going to our village. Once we were ready and had packed everything we needed, Dad called a taxi, and we started our journey. After some time, we reached Hemja, and I was even more excited. Five minutes later, we played a game called "I Spy with My Little Eye." After that, we stopped at an oil station. The driver went out to buy water because he was thirsty, and Dad went to the market to buy water and noodles. When the driver returned to the taxi, we continued our journey.

During the ride, my little brother and I got thirsty, so we drank some water. Then, we ate the noodles that Dad had bought for us. After a while, we felt sleepy, so we rested for a few minutes. When I opened my eyes, we were halfway to our village, and I was even more excited. I woke up my parents and my little brother. Just then, the taxi suddenly stopped at a restaurant. We started to get out of the taxi and head toward the restaurant, but as we got closer, we noticed a shop nearby. We went to the shop and bought two packs of Lay’s chips, and we shared it with our parents. Soon, the taxi started moving again, and we were back in our seats, ready to go.

After about an hour, we reached the road to our village. We told the taxi driver to stop, took some photos, and started walking toward our village. It was a long and tiring day, but we enjoyed it. I was so excited to meet my grandparents. As soon as we were near our house, I started running toward it. I was really happy when I finally reached our house. Inside, I saw my grandmother watching TV. When she saw me, she was overjoyed and hugged me. I hugged her back, and then I went to the kitchen, where I saw my grandfather cooking rice. I chatted with him for a while, and soon my family joined us. After some time, the rice was ready, and we all sat down to eat. Once we finished eating, I started to feel tired, so I went upstairs and went to sleep.

Day 1

I woke up at 6:30 AM, got ready for the day, and drank some water. I stayed near the fire and talked with my mother. After some time, my little brother woke up. After he woke up, my little brother and I decided to visit the other houses in the village to greet everyone we knew. We visited many places and talked to a lot of people. When we got back to our house, we saw a deer grazing in the forest nearby. We were so happy to see it, and we told our parents and grandparents about it. They were all excited for us, and my mom called us to eat rice that she had cooked.

After breakfast, my father told my family to pack swimming costumes, biscuits, clothes, and water. My mother asked why, and he explained that we were going to swim in a river. I was thrilled! My mom packed everything we needed, and soon we were ready to go. We walked from our house through the forest. It was a bit hard to walk, but I learned how to move properly in the forest. Eventually, we reached the river Dad had mentioned. We changed into our swimming clothes and jumped in. The water was cold, but the sun warmed us up. After swimming for a while, we changed back into our regular clothes.

Next, we went to pick some golden Himalayan raspberries (aaiselu), and we found plenty of them. We ate some biscuits while resting under a tree. Afterward, we crossed a bridge and headed back to our village, where we told our grandparents about the fun activities we had done. By this time, the sky had darkened, and my mom cooked rice for dinner. We all ate the rice together before heading to bed.

Day 2

I woke up at 7:00 AM and saw the sun rising in the sky. I washed my face and combed my hair. Since the weather was cold, I sat next to the fire. After about 30 minutes, my little brother woke up and joined me by the fire. Once he woke up, my dad played some music, and we danced. It was a sunny day, and my grandmother woke up to the music. She loved it, too! My mom made tea for all of us, and once it cooled a little, I drank it. It was delicious. Everyone finished their tea, and soon my mom started preparing rice for us. When the rice was ready, we all sat down to eat. The food tasted incredible.

After breakfast, we went to explore the nearby forest. While walking, we saw a deer with a fawn. It was so exciting because we realized that the deer had just given birth. We also saw many rocks, so we had fun throwing them. The forest was full of trees and plants, and we enjoyed exploring it. Afterward, we returned to the village and went back to our house. We had lunch, and then we played some games. We tried to make a fire, but we failed. However, my mom made a fire, and we were amazed by it. Afterward, we managed to start a fire ourselves, and we were very proud.

Later, we went to the tank and saw six fish. One was very large, and the others were small. As soon as my dad saw the fish, he caught them and brought them home. He cooked the fish, and we ate it with rice. It was delicious! It was getting late, so we all went to bed and had a peaceful sleep.

Day 3

I woke up at 6:00 AM and heard music playing. It turns out that Dad was playing some tunes on the speaker. I went downstairs to greet my parents, then went to the bathroom to wash my face. My grandfather made us tea, and it was so good. We drank the tea with biscuits. Soon, my little brother and grandmother woke up, and they also enjoyed the music. After drinking tea, we all chatted and ate rice that my grandparents had made. It was delicious.

After breakfast, we started preparing to leave because our parents told us that we were going back to Pokhara. Tomorrow was my little brother's result day, and although my result was at 22, I missed it because I was in the village. When the jeep arrived, we got in, and we left. We stopped along the way to buy some food: biscuits, juice, Kurkure, and noodles. After some time, we switched to a taxi because the jeep could only take us as far as Kusma. My dad paid the jeep driver, and then we took the taxi. We ate the noodles we had bought, and after an hour, we reached Hemja. Finally, after a short ride, we arrived back at our house in Malepaten.

The sky its beautiful in sight and delight The beautiful wonders we see by our eyes The sun and the moon is so nice and so bright We can see them in night time and in the day light If we look at the sky, there are clouds those are white The sky it is blue it is beautiful too. The stars they are wonderful just like the moon the sky becomes dark and quite black in the noon. After the night the sky becomes blue The morning its beautiful just like the noon.                                                                                    Stuti Rijal

The Little Girl and the Shopkeeper

There was a little girl named Olivia she was smart, strong and even creative. One day her mother told her to go to get 1 kg potatoes. And Olivia went to get the potatoes when she saw that the shop was closed. but she went to the other shop, which was close to her house, when she went to that shop and told the shopkeeper that she wanted 1 kg potatoes and the shopkeeper thought that the little girl would not know how much kg he put and when Olivia saw that the shopkeeper was trying to give her less kg she politely said “uncle, I think you don’t know how much is a kg” said Olivia with a smile. But, the shopkeeper said that it will be easier for you to carry and Olivia gave the shopkeeper some money quickly. But when the shopkeeper counted the money he called out Olivia and said “little girl, you have given me less money” but Olivia directly said “it will be easier for you to hold and count.” Moral: don’t judge someone just by their appearance but by their mind  stuti rijal
